I have about 300 songs from TVXQ in my iTunes, Japanese, Chinese and Korean ones as well as unofficial songs. They include songs Junsu sang on the radio, or on variety programmes, that sort of thing.

Out of these 300, I chose 45 of them to include into a playlist I call Best of 동방신기. This list is form on the basis that it had to be short, and yet include songs I like. It is not easy, because I definitely have more than just 45 songs that I liked from TVXQ.

Mirotic, by far, is my favourite album, especially the repackaged version. Pretty obvious since all four ballads from that particular album is included in this list. And I like the fact there are many different genres of songs, genres which TVXQ previously didn’t try.

Rising Sun is my second favourite, because it is an album I can repeat from top to bottom without skipping.

Out of these 45, the five songs I chose to introduce are:

#o1) Hug

Without a doubt, this song introduced Hug to the world. TVXQ still enjoys singing this song because it was their debut tune after all. A worthy mention for this song is the Japanese version, which was done in a ca pella.

#o2) 바보 (Unforgettable)

This was the song which made me fall in love with them, as in hard. So this song is definitely on the list.

#o3) Forever Love

Forever Love made me cry the first time I heard the song. Junsu opened the song, with little or none accompaniment. The clarity in his voice and the feelings in it struck a chord in me and pulled my heart strings. Even until now, whenever I hear the song, a sense of melancholy would overwhelm me.

#o4) LAST ANGEL -TOHOSHINKI ver.-

Why this? Yes, I love the one with Koda Kumi as well. But this! This is EPIC. It never ceases to amaze me how much versatility their voices have and this is one of those songs which proves so. I especially like how they shared the roles in being main vocals and back-up. I thought this song is one that made full use of everyone’s voices.

#o5) Tea for Two

I usually don’t choose songs from the same single since there isn’t much space on a 45-song only list. But I just had to add this and Stand By U. I like the summer-ish feel this song gives. It’s as if I could also feel the wind blowing across my face and I’m standing in the middle of a field.

Well, I would love for anyone to share their favourite songs from TVXQ! And if you do, please don’t tell me every one. I like a lot too. But 45 songs at most, please. (:
